Quantity Discounts in QuickBooks Enterprise

Quantity Discounts in QuickBooks Enterprise is a great time saver for invoicing and can help you maintain consistent pricing. Here’s how it works.

First, you must enable Advanced Pricing. From the Edit menu, select Preferences. Select Sales & Customers, Company Preferences then Enable Advanced Pricing.

Once this is done, you will see a new feature on the Items & Services setup screen. You will now see an option on the right to add Quantity Discounts.

Once you click on the Quantity Discounts button, a setup window appears. From here you can add quantity discounts on for that particular item. Each Item can have a separate discount structure. This is a feature many users have requested.

Once this feature is setup, it will then appear on an invoice. Usually you would only add one line for each item to an invoice. I have however included the same item using different quantities to demonstrate how this works.
