Would you like to learn how to use QuickBooks for your small business? Employed by a small business and need to better understand QuickBooks? Perhaps you are looking for a career change? Many employers prefer people with QuickBooks training. This class will cover billing, accounts receivable, payroll and reporting and more. QuickBooks offers many reports such as an income statement and balance sheet. Learn how to create custom reports for your specific needs. Students who complete the course will receive a certificate from Tarrant County College.

How the Course Works
We have moved the class to an online environment. You will buy a printed textbook and complete assignments and you will submit the work to the instructor using online tools we provide. There will be an opportunity to interact with the instructor and ask questions concerning the subject matter. There will also be video meetings to cover course material. There will be additional resources available in your course locker.
Once you receive your printed copy of the textbook, you will be provided with a link and code to download a copy QuickBooks to use on your computer. Students can download a 5-month trial copy of QuickBooks desktop software to their home computer or laptop!
Please Note: This trial version of QuickBooks is for Windows based computers only.
QuickBooks Accounting I – An introduction to the accounting cycle in a computerized environment. Custom design your accounting system using QuickBooks software to set up and record transactions for a small business. This class gives a complete overview of using QuickBooks for your small business.
The class will include hands-on practice examples and plenty of time to ask questions!
Class Location and Dates
Location: Virtual / Online. Could be your home office, living room or patio. No traffic or parking issues to deal with!
Class Dates: The Spring 2020 Session is scheduled to begin June 1st and work will be due July 2nd. This is a pass / fail class. All work can be open book at your leisure.
How Do I get Help?
The instructor will be available to answer questions by email or video meetings. You will need to schedule a meeting ahead and there are many opportunities for the entire class to meet to cover material. All meetings and times will be discussed after the class begins. Once you register for the class, you will be provided with an email to contact the TCC instructor.
How will I get my Book?
After you register for the class, you be provided with a link to order the textbook directly from the publisher. We are working closely with the publisher to ensure that you get a book as soon as possible. If you do not have a book when the class begins, the publisher has allowed us to email you the first two chapters in PDF format. You may then begin the course while you are waiting for the textbook to arrive by mail.
The Course Format
You will have a both a textbook and access online resources to help you understand the course material. In addition, there will be ample opportunity to interact with the instructor who will cover more challenging parts of the material and answer questions. You will have chapters to read and assignments to complete.
